Is the score shown against each institution reflective of their performance?

The NIRF score is relative, not absolute.
So you can’t say that ‘an institution with fail marks is ranked in the top 100’.
In each parameter, percentile score using the log-function will be derived, which gives the score which is based for determining the rank. However, there are more factors in play when it comes to the final rank, and this score only contributes to it.
